Thaddeus Society Retreat

Join us for a few days away from all of the craziness of your daily life! This will be a great chance to increase your faith, relax, and enjoy some good community.

What do you need to know?

Who?

Any 18-39 year olds. This is a Catholic retreat but it is open to non-Catholics.

When and where?

The full retreat runs from January 5-7. This year we will be at Little Island Camp’s Lower Lodge for both nights. The cost is the same for 1 or 2 nights, but you may choose to attend 1 or both.
It begins at 8PM on Friday night and ends about 11AM on Sunday morning.

What is the cost?

Before Dec 10 the cost is $50, after Dec 10 the cost will go up to $60, regardless of how many nights you will be staying. This fee is refundable until Dec 10.
This needs to be paid to reserve your spot. You can mail it to St Jude (1120 4 Mile Rd NE 49525), Paypal Sue at suewuorinen@hotmail.com, Venmo at suewuorinen or arrange to get it to me in person.

When does it start and end?

If you join us on Friday we start at 8PM. We will wrap up around 11ish on Sunday morning.

What will we do?

This won’t be like a high school retreat where you go go go. There will be plenty of time for rest and reflection but also times to just hang out and enjoy each other’s company. There will be a few talks, scheduled prayers, but also opportunities to break off and explore different options you prefer. Adoration is available throughout the entire weekend.
Regardless of what is available, you pick and choose what you want to do. If that means a weekend of sporadic naps – you do you!

What should I bring?

Anything you would typically bring for an overnight trip. A rosary, Bible, and journal (if you do that sorta thing) would also be a great idea : )

What will we eat?

Traditional large group food such as soup/sandwiches for lunch and a nicer dinner, etc. If you have any allergies or stay away from gluten, please let us know.

Will Mass be included?

We are trying to arrange for a priest to come out and do Mass. If not, we will attend a near by parish on Sunday.

What if I can’t afford the registration fee?

Contact Sue and we can work something out.

What if I have other questions?

Keep ’em to yourself! Just kidding. Email Sue.
