Welcome to St. Jude Parish

It is a profound blessing and joy for me to serve as pastor of St. Jude Parish – a faith community with a rich history, a vibrant present, and a hopeful future. Our mission is simple yet beautiful: to know Christ, to love Him, to serve Him, and to share His Good News with all God’s people.

As we celebrate our 80th Anniversary on August 22, 2026, we give thanks to God for the generations of parishioners, priests, deacons, religious, staff, and volunteers who have built this parish through their faith, generosity, prayer, and service. For eight decades, St. Jude has been a spiritual home and a place of welcome for the people of Northeast Grand Rapids and beyond.

Our parish is blessed not only by its long history but also by its distinctive and beautiful church. St. Jude is home to one of Grand Rapids’ notable examples of modern church architecture, inviting us to lift our hearts and minds toward God through beauty, prayer, and worship. We welcome visitors who come to admire our church, pray before the Blessed Sacrament, or visit the shrine of our patron, St. Jude, whose life reminds us of the strength, humility, and perseverance that come from faith in Christ.

At St. Jude, we believe that we are all members of the Mystical Body of Christ, called to walk together in faith and to use our gifts in the service of God and one another. Through our ministries, outreach programs, parish groups, and many opportunities for fellowship and service, we strive to be a parish where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and loved.

We are grateful to see our parish continuing to grow in faith and in service. Our desire is to be a vibrant, welcoming, and missionary parish – a place where families can worship together, friendships can grow, faith can deepen, and hearts can encounter the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

Whether you have been a lifelong member of St. Jude, are new to the neighborhood, or are simply looking for a spiritual home, you and your family are always welcome here. Come and worship with us. Come and discover our ministries. Come and share your gifts. Most importantly, come and experience the joy of being part of a Catholic community that seeks to follow Christ and bring His light to the world.

Please visit our parish website, Facebook and Instagram to discover what is happening at St. Jude and how you can become part of our parish family.

May God bless St. Jude Parish, our families, our neighborhood, and all who enter our doors. May the next chapter of our parish history be filled with renewed faith, joyful service, and abundant blessings.

In Christ,
Fr. Ayub Francis Nasar
Pastor, St. Jude Parish
