Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a time of prayer and reflection on God’s Word presented with child-friendly language, rituals and FUN. All children are invited to the Children’s Liturgy of the Word at the Sunday 10:30am Mass, from September through May. The children and leaders process from the church at the beginning of Mass and return to the church to rejoin their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
We are in need of volunteers to assist with Children’s Liturgy. Training and materials will be supplied. Ideally, we would have enough volunteers so each volunteer is needed only once per month. This is a great opportunity for high school or middle school students to volunteer as aides and earn service hours. We encourage parents of high schoolers or middle schoolers to volunteer as a family team to lead Children’s Liturgy. If you are interested, please contact Becky Thelen at bthelen@stjudes.net.
