So you want to know more about St Jude Youth Ministry?…
You should know that these are the kind of people you will encounter:
team
But if you STILL think this is something you want to know more about, check out the information below.

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY (6th through 8th Grades):

Fall Fest: This is a great tradition that happens every year! We meet for pizza and then head to Heidi’s Farmstand for the corn maze. Check out our PAGE for more information!

Sky Zone trips: These happen 2x or more a year. All students are welcome to join us for a 1.5 hour jump time at Sky Zone (3640 29th St). Basically it is a giant facility full of trampolines. For more information you can check out their website Skyzone
All students must have an updated Sky Zone waiver. It can be found on their website.

Shine Rally: The diocesan-wide Shine Rally has been around since 1996. Deacon Ken Baldwin had a desire to create an event that appealed to middle school students and drew their attention to Jesus. It is an awesome day of speakers, music, games, skits, food, and faith. This year’s keynote speak is Bob Rice and the house band is the Thirsting. The Shine Rally will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 1:30-8:30PM at West Catholic HS. Contact Sue for more details, and check out Shine Rally FB Page and the Shine Rally website.
Shine Rally date: March 24

Movie Retreats: These are a great way to get deeper in your faith but have a great time doing it. We watch 2-3 movies based on the retreat theme and then have brief discussions following. We play games, hang out and eat snacks. It is a very laid back retreat. This is open to all 6th through 8th grade students.

Michigan Adventure Trip: We will be taking a bus to Michigan Adventure for the day. All the incoming 6th through 12 graders are welcome to join us.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY (9th through 12th Grades):

Basic Training Nights: These are held at someone’s house or a restaurant. We will eat dinner or appetizers, hang out, and chat a bit about faith. Fr Cavera and Sue will be there to answer any questions about the faith you may have.
First night: Oct 15 from 6:30-8PM at 4649 Northview Ave 49525

Antioch Retreats: These are held 2x a year. These retreats are perfect for the first time retreat go-er to the retreat veterans. They are filled with lots of different activities from talks to games to skits. They are incredibly fun and as Sue has said numerous times “I am terrible at describing this great weekend without making it sound incredibly lame.” Contact Sue for more details or find out more HERE!
Retreat date: November 17-19 and April 20-22

Girls’/Boys’ Retreat: Once a year we hold 2 retreats that go on simultaneously. They are both fairly laid back but give the girls and boys a chance to get deeper in their faith with those of the same sex. We meet up for Mass and a nice dinner out. This retreat is typically held in the fall.

Michigan Adventure Trip: We will be taking a bus to Michigan Adventure for the day. All the incoming 6th through 12 graders are welcome to join us.
